Q: Display brightness control

I am made sure that the display brightness controls were set properly. I drag the brightness slider to adjust for brightness. However, when I log out and then log back in I have to reset the brightness once more.  I turn off the automatically adjust brightness as ambient light changes.  I just for the brightness to stay the same.

Hi, not sure wat OS you're on but try this...

Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions,  then move this fils to the Desktop.

(Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.)

    /Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences/com.apple.systempreferences.plist

    Then reboot once more.
