I ignored the software update released in Jan and now can't update to iOS 6.1 let alone 6.1.2.
Both iPhone and iPad have the same error message whenever I try...
"iOS 6.1 failed verification because you are no longer connected to the Internet."
I am, however, connected to a working WiFi connection.
Anyone else having this problem or have any solutions?

Yes, they are.
I've tried resetting the router and devices to no avail.
iPhone appears to be updating now.
Not sure why, nothing's changed.
You can not update to iOS 6.1, on any of the mentioned iDevices, as Apple has stopped signing. You can update to iOS 6.1.2 only.

Has the download in iTunes finished ? Apple server may be heavily loaded.
Alternatively Download and save iPhone 5 - 6.1.2 firmware from a trusted source. theiphonewiki.com being one. Connect phone to comp. In iTunes press Option+Restore (Mac) or Shift+Restore (PC), point to downloaded .IPSW file.
Thanks Raja, I connected my i device to ituns via my windows vista laptop, 'n also could'nt get the upgrade!!!
Then, I returned to my iphone and it works "surprisingly".
As you said, I think it was the heavy loaded server.
iPhone 5 and iPad 3 won't update.
