Help importing file into iMovie

Hi <

I could use some help.

When I import or drop a .mov file into imovie i only get the audio.

When I am scrubbing over the file it turns Grey and not able to view. I am converting from AVCHD to

(AIC) (*.mov)

What am I doing wrong?
