Question

Battery will not charge, computer will not start when plugged up.

I have a 17" macbook pro and in recent time i've let the battery die completely a few times. Up till now, I've been able to get it charged up by letting it sit for a while when the LED indicator would rapidly blink for a few seconds.

I've now plugged it up and the green light on the magsafe charger comes on and still wont start, even if I take the battery out with it still plugged in. The LED on the battery will not blink at all. What should I do? Please help!

Your MBP should operate with the power adapter connected. It may be defective or there is another hardware issue. You might try a SMC reset:

However I think that you will have to take it to a repair facility for a diagnosis if the does not work.

Still did not work, but I can say that this has happend before were It wouldn't turn on if plugged without the battery, but would still charge and the battery LED would still flash.
