Q: Why can't my Apple TV set the date and time?

My ATV is a week old. No problem connecting to my wireless network but won't accept my Apple password. Seems it won't register network date and time. I've tried restarting, disconnecting power and resetting.

Apple TV, iOS 6.1.2, Brand Apple TV

Have you had it working, have you tried restarting the router.

Is it connecting to the wifi correctly, do you get a proper IP address.

I set the IP manually. It won't accept my Apple password.

Why set your IP manually, if it wont get an address automatically, it's likely not connecting to your network.

I've tried everthing I can think of or read about to set the time and date....even a direct cable connection from ATV to my cable modem. Nothing.
