iPhone 4 won't sync with iTunes, but recognized as "Apple iPhone" device

I have an iPhone 4 with iOS 6.1.2 and a Windows 7 64-bit laptop. I have downloaded the most recent version of iTunes and since then, I haven't been able to sync my iPhone into iTunes. My computer recognizes it as "Apple iPhone" with a camera icon underneath the "Portable Devices" category. I have tried multiple solutions that have worked for others, but I can't seem to get my phone to work. My iPod Nano seems to sync just fine. I've looked all over the web for a resolution, but nothing has been successful. If I could have any help, it would be great.

Here is an attachment as to what the icon looks like.

If anymore pictures are needed to get an idea of what the situation is, please describe it to me and I will try to get to it as best as I can.

Thank you!
