hi,
how do I know if the keyboard is in pairing mode or not?
I've tried to pairing it to my iPad but without any success.
Thanks for your reply
i don't know if this will help you, but I purchased a "cheap" keyboard online. It's actually not too bad, but it's not an original Apple brand.
To pair the new wireless keyboard to your iPad:
1. Turn bluetooth On (iPad under Settings)
2. Turn keyboard switch On. (of course, make sure batteries are in)
3. On your iPad, check underneath Bluetooth - Devices that "Discoverable" is activated and that your iPad is actively searching for a new device (your new keyboard).
4. To help the search, underneath the generic keyboard is a small button (on mine its black) with Connect inscribed beside it. You must press and hold down that button to get the pairing to go (maybe 10-20 seconds).
5. Soon you'll see "Bluetooth Keyboard ........... Connected" underneath Devices on your iPad.
Mission accomplished....it took me awhile to figure it out and almost packed up this keyboard and shipped it back to the seller.
Make sure you have Bluetooth enabled on your iPad, make sure your keyboard is on, then go into your settings>Bluetooth you should see the keyboard, tap to pair it.
1. Turn on keyboard
2. Make sure it is in discoverable mode
3. Settings>Bluetooth>Select the keyboard>Connect
Note: Turn off all other Bluetooth device that are nearby
1. Turn on bluetoth on ur ipad
2. Put the keyboard in pairing mode
3. Select the keyboard from the list of devices displayed on ur ipad
4. enter the pairing key on u keyboard if applicable
Thanks guys but my Mac mini is in the same room - is it a faff to keep connecting and disconnecting from one to the other all the time?
