I'm new to screen recording but I'm a bit surprised at the lack of sharpness of the quality of my screen recordings that I just made. I have exported them at the highest quality, actually I tried all the settings and I'm still not pleased. I'm trying to do tutorials for a release of our software but I don't want the software looking cheap.

Attached is a screenshot of our website with the right image being from the QT.

Bummer the picture loaded small in this message. I put up a link to a larger one:

Even the picture linked above isn't as easy to tell the difference as when I'm looking at the image in preview.

I guess I'm wondering if anyone has noticed that the screen recordings come out a little grainy. I'm using a retina mac book pro but I doubt that has anything to do with it. Or am I better off buying another piece of software?

Thanks for any suggestions.
