when playing music my ipod will not move on to the next track and just keeps replaying the same track

When playing music on my ipod it will not play the next track on the album but just keeps replaying the same track - this happens on all and every album !!

iPod touch (2nd generation)

Sounds like yo have the Repeat function on. On the Now Playing screen, on the left side below the scrubber bar is an arrowed racetrack icon. Tap the icop until it is white for not repeat.
