AIM vs ICQ

Hello!

I'm using Adium for my ICQ- and Yahoo-Messenger-accounts and iChat for my AIM account.
Now iChat automatically receives messages from my ICQ-buddies but I want to receive ICQ messages with Adium only.

How can I prevent iChat from receiving ICQ messages without preventing Adium from receiving them?

Thank You for Your help!

Hi, Ralph!
Thanks for Your quick answer.

Are you using the same screen name of both
applications ?

I am using my AIM screen name (btw: bussela) for iChat and my ICQ number and Yahoo-Messenger name for Adium.

I wanted to remove the ICQ contacts from my contacts list in iChat, but unfortunately there is no option to remove any contact from that list. In fact the contacts there appeared by themselves. :-o

Thanks for Your help

Hi,

If, in the Address Book your Buddies have their ICQ in the AIM IM listing then the ICQ details will make them appear in the Buddy list of iChat.

The thing to do is to remove the IM details from the Address Book entry points and in some cases you will need to need to create Address Book entries for some contacts/Buddies to be able to separate them out.
