Just bought a new laptop, how do I sync my iphone to it without erasing my data?

Just bought a new laptop to replace my old desktop. I previously synced my iphone to itunes on the old desktop. I want to sync my iphone to the new laptop in the future, but don't want to lose any of my data including contacts, messages, photos etc

I have an icloud account, but i'm not sure if I can utilise this for this or not

Please advise
