Apr 23, 2015 9:43 AM in response to hifidawgby ZS700,I am having this issue with my 27" late 2012 iMac. The only thing different then everyone else is that the computer is now 2+ years old and I do not have apple care. The issue should not be the bonding tape, due to the age of the computer. What else could cause this issue and what solutions are there besides replacing the computer?

Jun 3, 2015 12:56 PM in response to tal1971by midaran,That wouldn't surprise me. If its the same type of foam tape they use on the iphones. Just about every space grey iphone6 ive ever seen has what appears to be foam tape slowly moving into the foward facing camera.
I got the 27"imac 2 months ago and i hear it too. I do hear the expansion noises but also hear the faint cracking coming from the right speaker. I guess if theres anything good, i havent heard anybody say it got worse or the sound dropped out completely or something fried.
