It isn't working for me either in the Mail app.  I'm using Snow Leopard.  On my iPhone, it's loading just fine.  This started this morning for me, as far as I can tell.  I'm also in Michigan, although I don't know if that would have anything to do with it.

My iCloud mail won't load either on my iMac, but got mail on my iPad.  SUPER slow, though.  I'm in Wisconsin.

Same problem, since about 10am EST.  My mail or calendars won't load on my iMac or Macbook, but I can see mail on my iPhone.

My wife and I both started having this issue this morning. We live in Indiana. As someone else stated, I doubt that geography is a factor, but I'm sharing my general location just in case.

We cannot access most iCloud services on our iMacs -- Mail, Contacts, Calendar. I can access the most recent emails on my iPhone but any replies I try sending via Mail on iPhone do not get sent. My wife however has no issues using iCloud services on her iPhone. I have not tried the iPad but I would expect the same issue.

Obviously... That doesn't help the issue at all. It's not as if we are lying Csound1...

I'm honestly having problems connecting to the Mail.... it's being very weird... Not sure why..

Yep, I checked that this morning. I doubt that they would show any services as orange unless there were significant user issues. That status display does not represent 100% of Apple's userbase. The Detailed Timeline graph is probably the more accurate section, but even then, I assume that this page is not automatically updated in realtime as user reports come in. In fact, if that were the case, it would reflect the incident reports that I filled this morning and again ten-minutes ago.

I don't think you are lying, but iCloud is behaving exactly as it should over multiple locations that I manage, have you done any troubleshooting at all?

Yes, I've done the trouble shooting.. logging in and out.. as well as rebooting on both my iDevices and restarting on my Mac. From my screen shot from previous posts you can clearly see.. it's not anything I can do on my end..

Now I'm just getting some e-mail headers on my iPhone, but the body isn't loading.  Awesome.

    Is your firewall turned on?

Believe me, everything functioning as it did last night when it worked properly. My firewall is off.. My emails are coming through... slowly mind you. And some of emails are not loading.. As Duane Dibbley mention in her post that the body isn't loading..

Interesting. This is the first time I've seen the Mail icon change on the iCloud.com homepage. It has the universal notice or warning icon. Obviously, I'm signed in but cannot use any of the iCloud services.

I've done everything that one normally does to troubleshoot such issues: cleared cache, deleted all stored Safari website data, cleared history, closed and restarted Safari, even rebooted my iMac and iPhone after clearing and resetting all appropriate items. Also, I tried repairing disk permissions on my iMac as an outlier. Finally, I rebooted my DSL modem and Time Capsule just in case. But, as we are not having Internet connectivity or wireless issues, that was a long shot.

And yes, my system is up to date with the latest software updates. I always keep it updated. My next step is to schedule a call with Apple support as I've already gone through all the likely troubleshooting tips. Searching the Apple support website for Apple documents led me to this http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4002?viewlocale=en_US, but these are the steps I already know to do and they did not work.

So you can receive mail (and are obviously connected to iCloud)

Slow performance can have many reasons, check your connection for speed and latency.

Duane is using an iPhone, different transport and different servers.
