Spotlight does not search word document contents

Hey all,

I'm trying to find MS Word documents that are located on my hard drive using spotlight. I am searching for phrases that are present within the document, yet I don't get results from my search! The strange thing is, some documents do appear, but others do not, and it seems to be completely random which ones get found. I've re-indexed spotlight several times with no success. It's incredibly frustrating knowing that the file you're looking for exists and contains what you're looking for, yet somehow spotlight just refuses to find it. Thank you mucho!
