After doing update the app is very slow and doesnt refresh the screen or move the play head when you press the play button, how do I fix this, have downloaded twice already and re-installed?????

What is your computer (Model, Graphic card, RAM, OS). Did you follow these instrcutions for re-installing?
2.7 Ghz i5 proc, 16Gb RAM, Graphics AMD HD 677M 512Mb.
I have follwed the instructions for removing and re-installing motion.
I have trashed Motion5 and emptied the trash. then downloaded Motion again, still no luck.
I did not receive a OSX installation disk when I purchased my mac, dont know why its like that in south africa??
otherwise I would have been able to reinstall the OSX..
What can I do please!! I need this software for work urgently!!!!
I would try trashing Motion preferences if you haven't done that. If that doesn't help and you want to reinstall Mountain Lion then go here for instructions http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4718
I ended up erasing my hard drive on level2- security option, and re-installing Mountain Lion, seems to be working now.
