I started installing my new Mac Book Pro and agreed to use Migration assistant. It appears to be taking a surprisingly long time to transfer my music 9which I did not think i had a lot of) . It says about 12-14 hours remaining. Is this normal?

I started installing my new Mac Book Pro and agreed to use Migration assistant. It appears to be taking a surprisingly long time to transfer my music 9which I did not think i had a lot of) . It says about 12-14 hours remaining. Is this normal?

I started installing my new Mac Book Pro and agreed to use Migration Assistant. Transferring my information is taking a very long time -it says about 12-14 hours is this normal? Can i stip this process and do it later?

I would not stop it now.

Which connection did you use ? FW400 - 800 or TB ?

With 400 can take longer but 14 hours is really a lot.

Go on . The extimated time is only and extimation. Often after some time it decreases to a more human time.

That was my experience, too. I let it migrate overnight.
