why did apple stop support Airplay video for Boxee Box?
support disappeared with iOS 6.1
I think it's really bad of Apple to do like this.
I bought a Boxee because of Airplay support
iPhone 5, iOS 6.1.2
Maybe you should be asking Boxee why thier box doesn't work with iOS 6.1... Apple doesn't make the Boxee Box. They didn't do anything to make it stop working. If it stopped working, it is because of a flawed implementation of the protocol on the Boxee Box.

”Unfortunately support for Airplay was broken on the Boxee Box with the iOS 6.1 update. Given that Apple will not license the Airplay protocol, it will not be supported moving forward.”

I think what they meant to say is that 'Boxee doesn't want to pay to license Airplay'.
So they used an Apple copyrighted and trademarked protocol without authorization or approval.
Somehow it's Apple's fault because you bought a device that was ripping Apple off and Apple stopped it?

I don't believe the Boxee Box's software is being updated anymore, thus it is unlikely there will be any solution to your issue.
AirPlay audio still works in all apps etc YouTube, spotify, iPod but only videos from the camera roll.

Not really. They didn't play by the rules and they tried to take shortcuts that turned out to be incompatible with subsequent releases of iOS. That's what happens. That's exactly why Apple requires 3rd party developers to sign agreements before they will allow them to use the "Made for iPhone" logo on their products.
I would say its apple that suk by doing stuff like this.
apple have become what they fought aginst in the beginning. they are even whose than microsoft at this point with all the control and ONLY surporting com betwen own products.
