If you have other questions about it, just let me know.
One other thing: For the special startup keys for OSX, you may find you have to hold down ALT or the WINDOWS key to do the same thing, since the keyboard mappings are not loaded during that time-frame.
Personally, I have switched the WINDOWS labelled key into the Apple CMD position on my keyboard (just to confuse things more, sorry), so that WINDOWS acts as Mac CMD and ALT acts as Mac OPTION.

Any keyboard will work but if is doesn't have the Apple Mac specific keys on it some feature won't work unless you find the right key or key combo that does the same thing. Like the Command key.
What does "About this Mac" say about your processor and your OS version?
3.06 GHz intel core 2 Duo
Yes, it will work, does it have a USB cable.
Yes, but you may lose your Audio volume keys.
The System Prefs for keyboards allows you to re-map Option and Command as needed onto ALT and WINDOWS keys.
Why would you want to do that. I-Lame Keyboard really??

He asked a simple question. If you have a helpful answer, post it.
His name is Cody, my name is Cody I had to give it to him straight Will : D
I use a Wolf King keyboard because it has no Numeric extended keys to reach over to use my mouse. I like having my mouse close due to carpal tunnel.
There are other reasons to use PC keyboards. He asked a straightforward question and you are clogging up the thread.
because I do not want to buy a 85$ keyboard.
Good for you and thanks for the points
Good Luck & Best Wishes.
