How to take off press 1 to answer phone

You can easily change that within google voice under settings, then calls, then call screening. Turn it off

On Announces caller and lets you listen as caller leaves a message Ask unknown callers to say their name Off Directly connects calls when phones are answered

I have the same problem. I do not have Google voice installed and my iphone randomly asks me to press 1 to accept a call while I am driving. This is dangerous and I can see no way to turn it off. Does anyone know what is going on?

Yes, if you have Google Voice and someone calls your "Google" phone number, you're given such a prompt. To my knowledge that can't be changed. Tell whoever's calling to call your regular number, or talk to your provider if this is not Google Voice.

I have no idea what you are referring to. Could you elaborate?

Are you talking about Google Voice?

I think this is a feature of the number you are calling which has voice activated prompts which requires you to navigate thru a menu by pressing certain keys. It is not a feature of the iphone

That sounds like Google Voice. Either that, or something with your carrier.
