On my brand-new iPhone 5 I have seem to have lost all sound and ringtone just after upgrade to iOS 6.1
A complete reset does not solve this issue.
If I press the volume buttons the internal speaker is shown as output source.
Does anyone know how to solve this annoying problem.

Is the mute switch on the side of the phone in the right position?
Yes, the mute switch is in the right position. Switching to mute and back does not make any difference.

In settings/sound make sure volume slider is full on. In settings /general/accessibility in incomming calls set it to default

When you say you did complete reset I assume you mean you rebooted the phone by holding both home and sleep button together until alle logo appears and then waited for phone to restart?

Yes, I first tried that one. But no luck.
Next I used the reset option in iTunes and brought the iPone back to factory defaults.
Both did not help.
