Q: What to do if aluminium discoloured

I recently doscovered that my MacBook Pro aluminium has sign of discolouration in the area around the keyboard, is there anything I can do to get rid of the discolouration?

MacBook Pro, iOS 6.1.1

If you google "how to clean MacBook pro aluminum" you'll find several tips.....some I might try like iKlear and some I wouldn't like vinegar, alcohol and magic erasers.
