How do I set up Apple TV
I can get the menu that asks me to select the language, but then I cannot use my tv remote to do anything. The "remote app" for iPad -I cannot get to see the Apple TV either. Help
You need to buy another remote.

Do you have an iphone or ipad ??
Theres an app too use them as a remote plus while your at it
Program a remote say yout tv remote as a Apple tv remote
Go to: settings/general/remotes/learn remote
Takes less tha 2 minutes to so easy
You need to use the original remote to set up the remote app.
As Barry has suggested, the only thing to do is to purchase a new remote.
I have lost the Apple TV remote and cannot set up Apple TV
