Q: Since installing the 6.1.2 update my battery life has halved, what can i do abut this?

Same issue on my 4s. Installed both 6.1.1 and 6.1.2 at same time and do not use exchange. Had no battery life issues before this update.  Now my phone is under 20% at noon.  What gives? I have noticed that my phone seems to be looking for a personal hotspot. Could this be contributing?  People are saying to delete mail accounts, but not going to do this as neither e-mail account was added after the update so can not be contributing to the problem.  HELP!

i have the same problem in iphone 4 and iphone 5.
WHERE IS APPLE ON THIS?????

My iPhone 5 battery life has also gone down with 6.1.2.

Phone was charged 100% in the morning. 2 hours later it was at 90% without me really using the phone at all.

At 8:00 pm it was at 1% with light usage during the day, and before I could plug it in the phone had turned off.

This is a total joke. Fix the battery problems in iOS 6 already please Apple.

IF you updated using OTA restore in iTunes and with a fresh

full iOS6.1.2 download

You could also do a reset( if you haven't already ) first

good point I did an OTA update... I was happy because it's such a small download... but it invariably seems to screw things up, so trying a full restore now.

I suspect everyone having problems used the OTA update

Yes I am having same problem too. The iOS 6.1.2 is killing my battery. When I got my phone in October

2012 with iOS 6.0 my battery was the best on iPhone 5. My standby time was 2 days & 2 hours with usage

12-14 hours. Now with iOS 6.1.2 my iphone 5 standby time is 1 day & 3-4 hours and usage is 6-7 hours. Apple sort

Your updates out. It's about the quality not quantity.

Hallo yess im having the same problem since i updated the ios on my ipad , the battery life is sooooo much shorter , WHEN WILL THIS BE RECTIFIED ???

I do have the same problem, it was highlighted that this patch is to fix battery issue, but it makes it worst.

Anyone no how to fix.

So you have tried all the troubleshooting above ?? if not

what do you expect to happen

Restart

reset

restore with back up

and then restore as new in required

I have exactly the same problem. No issues before iOS6.1.2, with a batery life duration around two days, and now only one day with no extensive use...

I already reset and still the same...

I don't know waht to do...

Apple is not really doing a good job.
