My airplay use to work but since the new update it doesn't on any of my devices

Airplay and homesharing are different things, which of these is it you are having a problem with or is it both of them.

My airplay is not working since the update either, i no longer have the airplay icon anywhere on any of my devices.

I have been through all the troubleshooting sections but had no success.

Extremely frustrating.

When you update the Apple TV software, it goes back to some default settings, including disabling Airplay. Trying going to Settings -> Airplay on your Apple TV, then enabling Airplay.

I had the same problem after the updat. Try rebooting your system by unpluging the modem and then plug it back in. Takes a few minutes for the network to be reestablished but after doing this I got my airplay icons back.

Since the update certain apps which stream films,videos etc no longer display through Apple TV they worked perfect before but videos and films down loaded from itunes streamed from iPad & iPhone still work fine any help ??

Turn off home sharing on both the Apple TV and your computer, then sign out of ITunes on both as well. Reset your net work router. Once this is done sign back into both iTunes and home sharing on both devices. You should see all of your media.

Thanks scott1963 for advise its working fine now but at first I got picture and no sound so i switched every thing off and rebooted and now all is good again
