Macbook Pro Battery not Charging?

I have a Mid-2012 MacBook Pro 13 inch, that's not charging.

It's very strange. You see, when I take out the part of the power brick that can be a long cord, just make the power brick into an AC Adapter, and plug it back in, the MagSafe charger in the MacBook stays green for about 10 seconds, and then goes out. I've had the MacBook for only 7 months, and I don't

You are still under warranty. Take your MBP and the power adapter to an Apple store. If it is faulty, you should get a new replacement.

Ciao.

Sorry if somewhat off topic...

My Macbook late 2009 even survived a tropical rain but refused to charge the battery after the power magnet dropped off during cd burning.

Nothing helped, I did reset the SMC and even unplugged (naughtyly) the "not removable" battery. The not-charging status persisted.

Finally I removed the adapter from the wall contact. I restarted without the adapter, using only the battery.

After reconnecting the adapter -- to both sides -- the problem was solved!

Anyway, thanks to everyone contributing to this subject.
