I hooked up a shaw modem with built in router ..I ran a eather line from my Mac to the modem everything worked fine. disconneced and turn off the Mac
turned it on an hour later and now my fathful BlackMac will not go past the Apple logo.....Help....

Run through this list of fixes, you can hold the shift key down upon boot and that should disable non-essentials.
You likely have a outdated piece of software that installed itself into OS X called a kernel extension file or kext.
The #8 Reinstall Just OS X method will clear all those out.

Reinstall OS X does not work.. I do not know what to do short of bringing it to dealer.
