yes, it's brand new
That is a 4th Generation iPod Touch (the 5th Generation only comes in 32GB and 64GB configurations) and is not capable of AirPlay Mirroring.

it's not coloured! the back is shiny silver as you say.
That is strange, since I bought it in december and the version is 6.1.2
They still sell new 4th Generation models even on the online Apple Store.
