trouble finding my ipod library versus itune library on a different laptop

With the new itune download, I am unable to see my ipod library (not same as the itune library on this laptop. Reason for this: most of the ipod library was generated on another old laptop which is presently out of order. Question: how to organize the ipod library with Itune 11.0 version?
