Epson airprint problems

A couple of months ago I bought an Epson printer to use with my ipad. It is clearly marked "airprint compatible". At least 50% of the time I get a message that tells me "no airprint printers found" when I go to print something. Other times it works... But this is getting old fast! Epson has been no help at all. Any suggestions?
