I am somehow getting my dad's work text messages. He gets my texts. Our contacts are also connected. My moms name in my phone is Mommy, but my dads contact for my mom is Karen, and that affected my contact. Please help!! I don't know what is going on.

Are you using your Dad's Old iPhone OR it is a New one?..
If it is the Old iPhone you need to check if your personal contacts are on your Sim Card OR in the iPhone.
Remove the Sim Card and check for the Contacts.
If it is a New iPhone, you need to check the INFO Tab once the device is connected in iTunes and check if the Contacts Sync is ON Through any Google Account or Microsoft Exchange Server.

Most likely, you all are sharing the same Apple ID. If you share an Apple ID and you both have imessage on... you will receive eachothers imessages. If you share the same Apple ID for iCloud... you could have eachothers contacts merged in iCloud and begin seeing them on both devices. Check the phones settings under iCloud and see if you are using the same Apple ID and check for the imessage being on under the same Apple ID in settings > messages
I have fixed this so many times for my friends. It's a very simple fix. You are sharing iMessages and iCloud. Simply go into your settings under messages and make sure only your number is checked (under send & receive). Have whoever else is having problems do the same. As for contacts you will find that under iCloud. Hope this helps! 🙂
