iTunes wants to restore my iPod 5! But i dont!

So once apon a time, i was doing a software uptade to my ipod by the computer (iTunes) and then i couldnt wait so i unplugged it.... now the iPod is in off mode and whenever i turn it back on by pressing the home and top button, it says connect to iTunes! It wont even ask my passcode 😟 so i connect it to iTunes and the ONLY option is to restore...and i dont want that at all >:(

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HELP!
