Hey i got a 2012 mac mini i was doing the ram upgrade until i got a problem putting the top ram in...the top retainer clip accidently closed when putting the last ram in and now i cant release the clip to put in. help please!!

Did it actually lock in the down position? It may just look like it's down, I thought I had some trouble like that myself but it hadn't actually locked down without the RAM in the slot.
Yeah it looks like its down tried forcing it up a lil but don't want to break it. I can't even put the ram in cause the clips on the sid

First push the module into the slot
and then swing it down into the clips.
By design the clips should spread open and then re-close when the module is pushed down between them.
