HFP on Mac OS, iOS and Windows 8

Hi,

I recently did some tests what versions of Bluetooth HFP are supported by Mac OS, iOS and Windows 8.

It seems that even though available since 2011, HFP 1.6 is not available on Mac OS X.

Is there any official statement when HFP 1.6 will be supported?

iOS (my iPad mini) supports HFP 1.6. Windows 8 does not support HFP 1.6. If we use a handsfree

Bluetooth device, we still are forced to live with the crappy CVSD narrowband voice quality, and the

bottleneck seems to be the operating systems/Bluetooth stacks.
