Smart TV mirror computer

Sorry if this is the incorrect forum.....I was told that a smart TV can mirror my Mac.

Specifically, If i have a movie in iTunes, the computer will play it and send it to the TV to watch it on a bigger screen. Is this possiable (no iTV), Just airport.

If you are referring to AirPlay Mirroring, then no, you will not be able to do so as you would need OS X Mountain Lion or use a third-party solution, like AirParrot. Regardless, both options would require that you stream directly to an Apple TV, NOT a Smart TV.
