macbook cant screen video anymore without crashing computer

i have a macbook that used to stream videos no problem, it will still start to stream them then get choppy, then crash whole computer with a transparent warning message. i assumed it was because it was an old computer (2007), but thought it couldnt hurt to ask for some other solutions.. maybe ways to clear cashes? i dont know has anyone else even experienced this? thank you for you time

It sounds like you're having kernel panics. It sounds like it might be hardware related. Run the Apple Hardware Test and see if it shows anything, run it in extended mode two or three times. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1509
