I connected my iphone to itunes and it said there was an update for the os. So I accepted the update and my phone went in to recovery mode and is now stuck there. It comes up with error 1604, but everything worked perfect before I accepted the update. Can someone help please?

Put # against each line in the Hosts file.
I seriously don't understand what I gotta do.
I should add # in the begining of each line there?
And what about this:

I tried it with # and without and nothing happened.
Delete this particular line. Reboot your computer. Check by typing gs.apple.com that you reach correct Apple Page.
I told you I reached the other page and beacause of that the discussion was removed.
I still get the same page now and i removed the line.
If you don't get the correct page, Hosts file is not getting edited. You should have Administrator rights. Google How to edit Hosts file in Windows (your version). This is the cause of iTunes not updating/restoring iOS of the iPhone.

You had right to say what you did. @Natalionet was having iTunes error 3194. Major part of discussion took place under another thread. When I saw link, as below, posted just above his reply by me, I mistook it his as correct thread and went ahead with further discussion.
