How to stop broadcasting a peer to peer network

So a few days ago, my router burned out. In an attempt to renetwork my devices. I plugged in my modem's eathernet cord dirrectly into my MacBook and tried creating a Peer-to-Peer network. I realize i may have been inorrectly using this feature. However now that i have replaced the Router, I keep seeing my Macbook being broadasted out like an SSID. the only difference is on my Computer it is listed below all other SSIDs as a device. Prior to the router debocle the computer was never listed there. How do iget back to this? or in other words, how to i delete/stop broadcasting the peer to peer network

MacBook (13-inch Early 2008), network
