My iTunes won't recognize my iPad.

My iTunes won't recognize my iPad. I have already uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes, reset and restarted my iPad, and restarted my PC. The iPad won't charge, either, but I have verified that all my USB ports work. Any suggestions?

iPad 2, iOS 6.1.2
