I currently have an iMac with OS 10.4.11. Just got OS 10.6.3 from Apple. During research, it was advised to back up files to an external hard drive before loading Snow Leopard. I'm looking at Seagate Backup Plus USB 3.0 for Mac, but its requirements are OS 10.6. Will I be able to move my file onto the new hard drive with the old OS before I load SL?
