ios6 music player stuck in landscape

I just installed the latest iOS update (6.something, exchange sync fix). Now when I play music in the music app, it gets stuck in landscape. The only way I can fix it is to force close the app and reopen. Has anyone else come up with a way to fix this (that keeps it from happening)?

Total side note: Is it just me, or is iOS 6 really buggy? I've never had so many weird issues; exchange calendar issues, unplayable music, app update fails, wifi discovery, now this landscape thing. Every update adds some new problem.
