New SMC Firmware update broke CoreDuo Temp and speedit.kext

After installing the SMC firmware update, I can no longer launch CoreDuo Temp or speedit.kext.... hmmm..

Anybody else experiencing this?

BTW, the SMC firmware seems to have cooled down my computer... but I can't be sure, since I can't launch any temperature monitoring software... 🙂
Whine is still there, and the PhotoBooth fix still works...

Mine still works, did you repair permissions?

Just got my MBP 17" last week. Over all - sweet. No known problems, however found out about heat and whine. High pitched whine, working on getting rid of it. Interesting to say the least.

Heat - CoreDuoTemp reports 63C at 10% usage, will see about ramping that up to more usage (specInt tests or something)

Boot Rom Version MBP12.0061.B00
Serial Number: W8622xxxxxxx
SMC Version 1.5f8

No updates applied (unless unbeknowest to me) since purchase.
