I changed my phone number on my iPhone 5 and every time I text someone that has an iPhone, it displays that the text is coming from my old number. Any suggestions?

Check Settings > Messages > Send & Receive and make sure the number is correct.
It is my old number. How do I change it?

Yes it is.
It is set correctly and it still is showing up as my old number in Settings > Messages > Send and Receive. I accidentally click on this solved my problem tab. I am still having the same problem.
Try resetting your iPhone. Hold the home and on/off buttons together for about 10 seconds till the Apple logo appears. You will not lose any data.
I tried it and it didn't work.
