Decreasing Battery Health.

Hi,

i have 3 months aged macbook pro.


now its completed 140 cycles and now its showng battery health to 84% i.e 4860mAh. the original battery capacity was 5770mAh.

Please check the below given details and suggest what i have to do to increase battery heallth. i caliberated my mac already but still its having the same problem.

140 cycles in a 3 month period mean you have more then one Complete cycle every day, as there are only 120+ days in 3 months.


I suggest you Stop Disconnecting the AC charger when the battery reaches 100% when it would be just as easy to leave it connected to the AC power source. There is NO good reason to disconnect the AC charger just because the battery reaches 100% charge.


As to the health well that happens when you constantly run it on battery and only connect the AC charger to recharge the battery.


The battery is a consumable, like tires on a car. It will wear out as you have found out.
