imovie doesn't find my iphoto videos to import

For some reason imovie is not pulling my video clips from iphoto over to imovie. I could have imported directly from camera to imove but was easier to load everything to iphoto, not anticatiing the next step to be difficult.

Any suggestions?

iMac, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2), imovie '11
