I'm and trying to burn my images on iPhoto to a disk. I've tried multiple times before but it doesn't seem to work. All of the previous disks I have tried to burn either turn up blank or say that there is an error.

have you tried to update your iphoto ?
1. What are you doing? What steps are you taking? What are you hoping for?
2. What version of iPhoto and the OS?
3. What's the error message?
since you do not share what you are doing no one can help figure out what you are doing wrong
the general answer to burning photos to disk for general use is to select the photo(s) in iPhoto and export (file menu ==> export) to a desktop folder - in the finder right click on that folder and burn to disk
