Ntlworld email address wont verify

Help !

I have an ntlworld email address via virginmedia that won't verify on my new iphone 4s


I had it set up on mnew ipad3 ok and when I came to configure my new iphone 4s today - it wiped off the ntlworld email from my ipad and replaced it with the icloud email. Now I cannot get it back on my ipador get it to verify on the iphone.



I have tried changing to impa from pop for the outgoing server - but cannot find the settings for the incoming server - and it just hangs and hangs on the verifying screen


Help !!

here are the correct settings for NTLWORLD email


Incomming Mail Server

Host Name : pop3.ntlworld.com

User Name : (put your full email address here)

Passworld : (Enter your ntlworld passworld here)


Outgoing Mail Server

SMTP : smtp.ntlworld.com

User Namre : (leave blank)

Password : (leave blank)

Use SSL : ON

Authentication : (do not touch)

Server Port : 465

Tap on 'Settings' then on 'Mail,Contacts,Calenders' then tap on the accout you wish to change. I had problems with using virgin media's imap system so I changed mine to the POP version and had no problems since.


Check my post earlier on in the tread for 'POP' settings.


If all fails then try deleting the account and re-adding it.
