How do you check how many total downloads your app has?

In sales and trends, is the daily reports the number of people who downloaded it that day?

its been out for 3 days, so i would add the 3 numbers together to get the total so far?

OR is sales and trends a stat on "how many people are using the app that day"

A little bit confused ! Please help!! Also what is a good number of sales to have per day

in the first three days??
