Classic Ipod 3rd Generation

My ipod classic 3rd generation has a light apple logo lightly flashing on its screen and i cant get it to do anything. I plugged it in to the computer and its not even recognizing it, wont charge, turn on, i tried resetting it and it wont even do that...help please
