Downloading ofoto express

hi-
i'm a recent mac convert ... and i store a lot of my photos on ofoto (kodak gallery). i tried to download the ofoto express 1.0 so that i can download all my pix at once. once i complete the download, a screen pops up saying i need to drag the ofoto express icon to my applications folder. i did this and i see it in my applications folder, but ofoto still does not allow me to do an express download.

can anyone help?

Hi nipat,
Ofoto express lets you upload photos to your online photo gallery albums. It doesn't say anything about downloading photos to your Mac that you have already uploaded to the website.
Here are the directions from the "read me" file

*****
Overview

The purpose of Ofoto Express is to assist you in building an ordered list of photos which can be added to any existing Ofoto album or to a brand-new album that will be created for you when you save your photos to Ofoto.

The concept of a save-list is central to the use of Ofoto Express. You build a list of photos you want to save to Ofoto and then click the "Save to Ofoto" button. That's it!

While Ofoto Express has been optimized for iPhoto users, your photos can come from anywhere on your Mac:

• drag photos or entire albums from the iPhoto Drawer
• drag photos directly out of the iPhoto application and into the save-list
• choose Select Photos... from the File menu and choose multiple photos from a standard Open sheet
• drag JPEG files from anywhere in the Finder into the save-list

Once you've added your photos to the save-list, you can reorder the photos by dragging them around within the save-list. You can also rotate photos or remove them from the save-list if you've changed your mind.

When you're happy with the photos in the list, give the new album a name by typing it into the field at the top of the window. If you'd rather add the photos to an existing Ofoto album, click on the radio button next to the "Existing Albums" popup menu and choose an album.

**********

double click the application to open it.
Once opened click the "my photos" button in the toolbar to open the iPhoto browser drawer.
Drag and drop photos from the left hand pane to the right hand pane
Click the "save to Ofoto" button to upload them

Hi Lori-
Thanks for responding User uploaded file I think there may be a misunderstanding. I meant that i am unable to 'express' upload any photos to ofoto even though it appears that i have downloaded the ofoto express software to my MAC. When i go to upload on the kodak gallery, the website does recognize my OS and my MAC but it still only allows me to upload one photo at a time. how can i get the software to upload an entire folder of pix from my MAC to the kodak gallery?

thanks again User uploaded file

What was the fix? I have Ofoto Express, was able to use it a few months ago, but not now. It just hangs when you try to login to Ofoto.
I called Ofotos tech support and was told there was a known issue but they wouldn't tell me what the issue was, when it started and when a fix will come.
However I was told that Ofoto is scalling back its Mac support and it may become more difficult for future fixes to Ofoto Express.
And that there is no known application or support beyond Ofoto Express.
This is very wierd when you consider Kodak gallery is the supplier of printed photos via iPhoto.
You would think they would want to support Macs?

BTW, the suggestion from the Ofoto tech support was "To keep trying to login" how lame is that User uploaded file
