I am trying to back up my 250GB Macbook with a WD passport. The HD has 349GB avalible, im running snow lepod, I only have 1GB spare space on my Macbook HD, I'm using "Disk Utility" App, When I try and open a "new image" the erroa comes up soon after.  I tryed using Time Machine however that did not work ether.

At a guess I think its due to the fact I use the HD on my Mac and PC ?
